I reckon most candidates are actually scared to have a personal blog or suchlike nowadays, any personal opinion and comment, good or bad, will be immediately set upon by the media and the respective opposing parties and used as a political beating stick and the candidate immediately censured by thier party leaders. You may as well be voting for pieces of cheese, at least the cheese will have an individuality about it rather than the cardboard candidates around now who have to spout the party line and have no views of there own
