Hastiness and superficiality are the psychic diseases of the twentieth century, and more than anywhere else this disease is reflected in the press.

Daily Mail Prints News Story on Front Page! PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 09 June 2009 19:24

In an extraordinary move today the Daily Mail printed a news story on it's front page. Luckily they still found space for orang-utans' who enjoy swimming on page three and a boy in Wiltshire who found a seven leaf clover on page nine to keep up its reputation for being more than just a newspaper. However, by printing news on the front page the Daily Mail seems finally to have come to its senses and realised that it cannot force a change of leadership or a change of government just by insinuating there will be one. It instead seems to have decided that it's far better to leave the baton changing antics of politicians to their own devices and relegated them to page ten. If our British relay teams are anything to go by this is probably not a bad thing.

Killer iPod

In other news killer technology dominates the health pages: 'As doctors warn of 'mobile elbow', why high-tech ailments are on the rise' with the sub-heading: 'So are you allergic to your iPod?'. Turns out most gadgets seem to be destroying our health: 'mobile elbow', 'texter's thumb', 'Wii knee', 'Wii shoulder', 'Playstation pimple', 'phone infertility', 'mouse shoulder' and 'iPod earache'.

iPods are being highlighted as a particular danger because they can be use to 'Twitter'; which is something done by evil men like Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand and it also makes you immoral and melts your brain.

In other news Nick 'shitface' Griffen has been pelted by eggs outside parliament and the Daily Mail readers are out in force to stand up for the poor little fascist (his response was more Dunkirk than Normandy):

Phoney Bliar and Nu Liebour have caused people to feel they are strangers in their own land, so let them shoulder any blame.
Nu Liebour were elected with only approx 1/3rd of the votes cast, and yet we have had to put up with having them rule us, and haven't resorted to the tactics of those attacking the BNP MEP's.
Some of the attackers appear to be connected with Trade Unions, who accuse the BNP of being Bullies, so what would they call themselves?
The reason we don't want Nu Liebour or the rest presently in Parliament is that they have removed our Freedom of Speech, Democracy and thrown us, without a democratic mandate to the EU Dictatorship.
Carry on you idiots who don't like Democracy, because it will only ensure that the rest who have been moderate, rebel.

I'd say that the ability to protest against the totalitarian BNP is a sign that freedom of speech is very much alive and kicking Gerry - otherwise how could you have posted that comment you fucking moron? Naturally any comments pointing out that the BNP are a fascist party and deserved it are rated heavily in the red:

OK, he was legitimately elected, but we still have the right to protest. And the views he represents are so offensive that he's going to have to expect this kind of treatment wherever he shows his wonky-eyed face.

I hope someone can recommend him a few good egg recipes. They could come in handy this summer. Click to rate Rating 912

Those people who DID vote BNP are either racist, idiots or so naive that their votes should be rescinded due to lack of intelligenge. If they got into power, my rights as a British citizen, despite being born and raised here, would be revoked due to the colour of my skin. In fact, I'd be especially villified as I'm mixed race.
I can only hope that if these morons actually do vote BNP into any form of real power, when they deport me I get sent somewhere nice.

Good for the UAF.
We kicked the fascist National Front off our streets in the 70s and now it looks like the job needs doing again.
Go to it boys and girls, more power to you.

Now, I'm not saying I think egging an elected official is good, but I seem to recall Peter Mandelson being covered in green slime a while back and Mail commentators couldn't celebrate it enough - many of them wishing:

Rage

rage

rage

Funny how homosexual Peter Mandelson attracts comments like 'pity that it was not petrol'; whereas fascist Nick Griffen attracts comments of 'I would never vote BNP but he was elected by many and freedom of speech means just that..we can't pick and choose depending on the speaker.'

But that is just it, Mail readers do just pick and choose depending on the speaker. Just flick through the comments on this article, comments supporting NIck Griffen and the BNP are over a thousand in the green, whilst any comments similar to those posted about Peter Mandelson are hundreds in the red. Mail readers do pick and choose, and not surprisingly they have chosen the hate-filled ignorance of the BNP.
