It is impossible to read the daily press without being diverted from reality. You are full of enthusiasm for the eternal verities -- life is worth living, and then out of sinful curiosity you open a newspaper. You are disillusioned and wrecked.

Kissogram, not strippogram PDF Print E-mail

The reason why Amy Pond was dressed as a "tarty policwoman [sic]" throughout this week's episode of "Doctor Who" was because she works as a kissogram, not a strippogram or a real policewoman. She actually tells the Doctor this shortly after they first meet in the present, when he's still handcuffed to the radiator (yay fanservice!). Obviously, whoever made the original comment wasn't paying much attention to the dialogue. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if today's Daily Mail contains a few extra-large photos of Karen Gillian to show their readers just how disgracefully slutty and sexy she is.
