The Daily Mail printed the picture below in which "Barack Obama was caught out yesterday in a leer worthy of his Italian counterpart Mr Berlusconi". Here is the picture:

And here is the Daily Mail take on the matter:

First it was sleazy Silvio. And now we have the lecher of the free world.
Barack Obama was caught out yesterday in a leer worthy of his Italian counterpart Mr Berlusconi.
France's Nicolas Sarkozy, who stood beside him smirking at the G8 summit in Italy, was either enjoying the view as well or the thought of what Mrs Obama - and the rest of the world - would have to say about this photo.

Only he was not leching at all. Barack Obama was in fact being courteous as the first 63 second of the below video demonstrates.

Still, we don't expect facts to get in the way of a Daily Mail story, and heaven forbid they'd actually do a little research before publishing such rubbish. Funny that Fox News - the American bastion of right-wing lies and smears - took the same angle.

Just to demonstrate once again that the Daily Mail and Daily Express hold completely different viewpoints they also printed exactly the same story in exactly the same way; then reinforced it the next day with a double page spread of other 'leching' celebrity photos. Ah good old fashioned journalism ast work there.

I didn’t know whether you would post this as the rest of the stuff on this blog tends to be well written and a bit longer. Do you have any guidelines regarding what you accept? Do you get back get back to people whose work you decline?
