ANGRY MOB

I found today's Mail cartoon by Mac rather unpleasant. I'm not a massive fan of those Muslims that protested against the return of the soldiers, but neither am I a massive of what happened in Iraq, and as I understand it the war on terror is being fought precisely to defend our freedoms. Those freedoms include the rights of anyone to protest against anything, I understand this is referred to as freedom of speech - no matter how unpleasant the sentiments (after all the Mail is allowed its own voice).

Mac's cartoon seems to be creating links that are unfair on the Muslim population, and serve to incite racial hatred - something that the protesting Muslims have been accused of.

Muslims = on benefits (and worse supporting 3 children)

Muslims = hate Britain

Muslims = full of hate

I don't want to make fatuous references to Nazi Germany, but I've a feeling if you redrew and re-labelled the Muslim characters as Jews the cartoon wouldn't be terribly out of place in Der Stürmer.
