The world is for thousands a freak show; the images flicker past and vanish; the impressions remain flat and unconnected in the soul. Thus they are easily led by the opinions of others, are content to let their impressions be shuffled and rearranged and evaluated differently.

Great post again, I added the following comment just now, interesting to see if it gets published... Ah, Richard. Where to start? Gratuitous slating of Gordon Brown? Check. Tasteless joke about self-harm/suicide? Check Recycled phrase number one ('you couldn't make it up')? Check Pointless harping on about a 'golden age'? Check Bare-faced hypocrisy with regards to patronising and/or fabricating data? Check Token slur of Barack Obama? Check Recycled Phrase Number Two ('Call Me Dave')? Check Bland, crude and offensive cartoon accompanying article? Check (Gary, you're spoiling us with this one, do stop now as I fear I may have to take a cold shower) Usual semi-literate tripe an AS level General Studies student would be only mildly satisfied with? Check Isn't it about time you changed your tune and gave your readers something worth reading? Flicking through the opinion polls of the Sun doth not research make. Or maybe you just got distracted by the bright colours...
