Right, I appreciate that I've been neglecting Angry Mob somewhat recently, but it had been for a good reason: I've started a web hosting business. I've had a website since around 2004 and I've always been happy with the service I received, but I'd never been entirely happy with the limited price structure offered by most hosting companies. I had a basic hosting package costing nearly £40 a year that only gave me 10gb a month bandwidth, yet even 10gb was excessive whilst I worked to build various blogs / websites and build up a readership. I would rather have started with 1gb bandwidth a month and increase it as I built up a following. However, I recently exceeded 10gb (thanks to the Jan Moir Google storm last month) and hosting is now costing me nearly £60 per year, and bandwidth is 30gb. Yet I don't really need 30gb, I need nearer 15gb maximum - and I doubt I'll ever exceed that again.

After a few years of developing websites, messing about with social media and ending up with Angry Mob and a few other friends websites that I had made for them I finally took the plunge and set up my hosting company; one that specialised in providing packages for those people or businesses just starting out online that don't need a huge amount of bandwidth for the first few months of hosting so shouldn't have to pay for it either. Blue Globe Web Hosting was born and is now live.

What makes Blue Globe unique is that it is offers a range of hosting packages (both Linux and Windows 2008 servers) that start small from just £4.99 a year, so that starting your first website or blog needn't be expensive. I know you can get a free blog with Wordpress.com or Google Blogger but sometimes you might want more freedom to own your own hosting space, install the blog platform of your choice, own your own domain name and have complete creative freedom over the design and layout of your blog - with no advertising either (unless you want to advertise things on it).

You can find out more by visiting www.blueglobewebhosting.co.uk. As an introductory offer (1 week only) we're doubling the bandwidth and storage space offered by our large package (£29.99 per year, full details here) if you take it out for two years (one-off payment of £59.99 recurring every two years). So for less than £2.50 a month you'll have a blog hosting account (choose from Wordpress, Buddypress, Nucleus or Geeklog) with 40gb bandwidth allowance per month and 16gb of diskspace.

All Blue Globe hosting accounts also offer a unique referral and ad system. This means you get extra bandwidth for the life of your account for every person that signs up to a Blue Globe hosting account and gives us your referral number. Furthermore, if you are prepared to put an advert for Blue Globe on your website / blog - or even just a little logo link back to Blue Globe - we'll give you extra bandwidth each month for as long as that advert / link is on your website.

This system is completely unlimited, meaning that you could have a blog hosting account for just £4.99 per year but you could earn virtually unlimited bandwidth through advertising Blue Globe on your site and getting us referrals.

Anyway, advertorial over. You can follow Blue Globe on Twitter for latest offers and you can visit Blue Globe's website for full details of our data centre and 100% Dell Servers etc. I will now return to blogging about the Daily Mail in the hope that some of you bloggers* or aspiring bloggers will choose Blue Globe as your web host.

* If you have a Wordpress.com blog and you want to move it to your own domain hosted by Blue Globe this is an easy process (export / import and redirect your Wordpress.com blog to your new domain name). Likewise, if you have a Google Blogger account we have created a step-by-step guide that can move your Blogger blog to Wordpress on your own domain hosted by Blue Globe, move all of your subscribers, posts, comments in around 20 minutes. You even redirect visitors of your Blogger blog straight to your new site from any posts on the Blogger page.

Well I'm at a wedding all day today and tomorrow I fly out to Spain for a week, so obviously Angry Mob will not be getting updated for a week or so. I will endeavour to relax away from the Daily Mail and enjoy the sweetness that is reality.

However, should I happen to bump into an ex-pat clutching a Daily Mail and bemoaning the state of 'once great Britain'...

In the meantime the prolific Tabloid Watch has been on fine form recently, whilst I'm sure you already read The enemies of Reason and Five Chinese Crackers. For an international flavour pay The Polemical Report a visit. Also Stirring Up Apathy for Daily Mail related horrors as well as Mailwatch.

In fact, it would be far easier if you just looked at the links on the bottom right part of the site and went from there!

I'm being terribly lazy this weekend as I'm tired and have spent time reworking some stuff in the background of this site. For those of you that might occasionally comment on articles (many thanks) you will notice that I have changed the image verification thing so that it is actually physically possible to make out the letters. I assume this will be very helpful to those wishing to comment! If anyone would be good enough to try it out to see if the new images are easier to read that would be very kind of you.

If you'd like to read some interesting things then visit The Enemies of reason for a nice Sunday round up. Also Tabloid Watch has some interesting stuff - as ever - this time a piece on how some people are in favour of free speech only if they share the same opinions. Also, The Polemical Report has a few links as well that are worth a look.

In the future you can expect some bigger updates from this website as I am working on a couple of projects that I hope will interest a few people. Hopefully at least one should be ready by the end of the week.

In the meantime if anyone would like to add content then you can use the submit an article button at the top of the page to do so. Furthermore if anyone is interested in becoming a regular contributer to this website then please get in touch and i'll sort you out with the relevant access etc. Email me at angrymob AT uponnothing.co.uk.

Some of you may have noticed that at times today pages couldn't be found or old links did not work. This is because I have changed the URLs of the site to make them search engine friendly. From now on all articles will have a SEO friendly URL, so feel free to link to any current content as all the links to content are hopefully now functioning correctly.

I have also added another article on Richard Littlejohn (You couldn't make it up - an examination of what the phrase actually means and how he uses it), again my hope is to get the Littlejohn section onto page 1 of Google results, so please help by linking specifically to the Littlejohn section (http://www.angrymob.uponnothing.co.uk/richardlittlejohn) on your blog/website.

Again, any comments on existing content or suggestions for new comment would be gratefully received. Furthermore, if you would like to write for the site then please email me at angrymobATuponnothing.co.uk.
